About

I am a graduate student in McMaster University’s department of English and Cultural Studies, where my work focuses on Romantic women writers (specifically Felicia Hemans and Letitia Elizabeth Landon) and feminist theory (as it surfaces in citation and homage, and also in conceptions of space/place). I am interested in the many ways women writers convey their feminist stances on empire, colonialism, race, and gender.

More interestingly, outside of academic work I enjoy freelance content writing and editing. My work as associate editor for The Ontarion has been very rewarding. I intermittently run half-marathons and, whenever possible, have a book in-hand–this week it’s Germaine de Staël’s Corinne, or Italy.
